Biography

Louis G. Santiago was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and grew up in the Alfred E. Smith housing projects in New York City among the street gangs and dodgy characters that inhabit his writing. He was a financial advisor, working at prominent investment firms for many years, and (fun fact) moonlighted as an offensive lineman for the New Jersey Rams, one of the nation’s top semi-pro football teams.

After retiring from Wall Street, he succumbed to his passion for writing, publishing The Ambassador’s Apprentice, the first of a series of Cold War thrillers featuring Daniel Guerrero, his unconventional hero. When not busy writing about Daniel's international exploits, Lou ardently consumes all forms of thriller novels, as well as historical non-fiction.

He and his wife, Viviana, live in Essex County, New Jersey.
